M3 refresher test - test duration only. Learners completing refresher tests require a current unexpired 12D M1/M2 RTMO and 12D M3 Dual Carriageways up to 40mph skill as a minimum.

Prerequisites: Complete NHSS12D T1/T2 training course. To become a registered NHSS12D M3 Operative, the learner must either be in the process of being registered as a 12D M1/M2 RTMO or already be a registered 12D M1/M2 Operative prior to applying for registration.

All Registered Traffic Management Operatives (RTMO) as described in National Highway Sector Scheme (NHSS) Document 12D who wish to add this category to their NHSS12D card.
What will be covered?
On completion of this course learners should have a knowledge of:
- Relevant Codes of Practice and other associated documentation relating to Traffic Management
- The equipment required in Temporary Traffic Management and the legal obligations when placing equipment on the highway
- The requirements for working on dual carriageways restricted to 40mph or less
- The requirements to install and maintain temporary traffic management on low speed dual carriageways

To gain NHSS12D M3 skills registration the NHSS12D M3 live assessment units need to be completed within a 2 year period from passing the NHSS12D T3 training course.
